Flowers are mostly admired for being delicate; indeed, many flowers only grow in a specific environment. There are many flowers growing by the roadside that go unnoticed, which may lack the perfect symmetry of a dainty rose. I feel a strong energy emanating from the uneven petals of roadside flowers, and wanted to depict that in this painting.
