Mariko wanted to express humans’ harmonious growth by painting unknown brambles on the side of the road.  The lessons learned by studying the harmony of forgotten patches of weeds helps each of us grow our spirit by being one in a diverse society.

The original is now a part of the permanent collection of the Utah Division of Arts & Museums.
